Sobrero Francesco
In the vibrant heart of Barolo, in Castiglione Falletto, lie the Sobrero family's 13 hectares, the birthplace of their red wines and Barolo. Pernanno, Villero, Ornato, Piantà, Valentino, and Amellea: the magnificent six Cru that give rise to four selected wines.
The remaining 3 hectares are situated in Canelli, the homeland of Moscato.

The history book of the Sobrero winery begins in 1940: the main character is the grandfather Francesco, who grows and sell grapes until the 1960s, when with the enthusiasm of his sons, Settimo and Pier Franco, winemaking began. Wine is sold in bulk and in bottles, and the first Barolo label is dated 1964.
Years pass, marked by consistent growth, and the gradual acquisition of new lands expands the estate to its current 16 hectares, enriched in 2008 with the Moscato vineyards in Canelli. In 2000, a new signature emerged – that of Flavio, the son of Settimo. Thanks to his studies as a winemaker, he contributed to the cellar's growth by blending tradition with the modernity of technology, aiming to enhance the quality of wines right from the grapes, treated with environmentally friendly products, and in recent years, the transition to organic farming has been certified.
The Sobrero proposal is a blend of diversity and excellence, offering a total of 12 labels. Among them are 4 Barolo, each derived from the magnificent 6 Cru vineyards (each Cru, with its nuanced flavors and distinctive character, encapsulates the essence of the vineyard it originates from), a Nebbiolo, a Barbera (one aged in oak and one unoaked), and a Dolcetto. Additionally, there are white wines – a Metodo Classico ExtraBrut, a Moscato, and a Chardonnay. Completing the range is an aromatic wine, the Barolo Chinato.
